BatchCat and Wine

I know this is probably a reach, but I wonder if anyone on u/l/i has every used Voyager's BatchCat.dll with Wine on a Linux system.  Its not an emergency because we have a Citrix system that I can connect to and use BatchCat on, but I would rather do it on my Linux or a Solaris machine.

If not BatchCat, specifically, has anyone tried to compile Perl on Wine or, perhaps, used the Winelib library to write a C program that accesses a dll.  I'd be interested in hearing people's experiences and gotchas.

Thanks, Kevin

Gosh, I would like to know whether this can work as well. On the client side, Voyager has to be the greatest testimony to the reach of Visual Basic in library land, and I wonder if you get yet another layer with BatchCat since it hooks into what's already there.
